THE TIME IS
|
In THE TIME IS Jennifer uses her emotionally rich, multi-layered creative voice to turn inward for her first full-length solo show. Traveling a lifeline that brings one person from birth to this present moment in history, Jennifer moves through personal conflicts and desires carrying a perceived gender identity. “The Time Is” is a meditation and a challenge for this fraught moment in time within and pushing against gender cultural constructs. Jennifer immerses the audience in a shifting visual, sonic and felt world, illustrating how we as humans both adapt to and change our environment. “Now and then, a choreographer manifests an aspect of human experience with such emotional honesty, dramatic credibility and choreographic intent, you leave the theater moved and enlightened.” - Camille Lefevre, Star Tribune more about jennifer |

With elements of improvisation, live music, and visual art installation on stage and throughout the space, DARK MOUNTAIN MANIFESTO Part ii is about how we physically navigate this word with all its ugliness, discomfort, inequities AND all its beauty, surprise and compassion; and how we can make art and have constructive conversations around the dire need to clean up our planet and connect to the environment/species that need our attention. Now. With an original soundscape & performance by Justin Nellis "Nellis possesses an innate ability to shape the interplay of the human body within an environment. His combined skill set of dance, photography and filmmaking knowledge gives him a special sort of insight. Each of his artistic endeavors showcases his ability to marry the visceral and organic in an unforced manner." - Caroline Palmer, Star Tribune |
